This is my WLE Blog spot, i will be updating it every week. These updates will consist of  what i have been doing at my internship on Tuesdays. My internship is at the Song Writers Studio in Hayward, CA, at the studio i will be learning how to cut and mix music together, mess with sound effects and learn as much aspects from a producer as possible. So one day i can make my own music free of charge, i am only so close to my dream.

i have learned so much about music, stuff that i thought never existed. such as, engineer, they are the one that mixes the sound of a voice recording and makes all the instruments cohesive. this internship is more learning then a hand on work training for a career, but so far i have been fine with that. the process of making music is at time over baring since music has a whole history behind it. also along with the technology and how to use it all, but i am learning the process one step at a time. Later on that day at my internship, some teachers and including my AC teacher came to interview me for the last part of the day. the interview went well the question they ask were answered and they saw that i knew what i was talking about when it came to the rules and guide lines of WlE.

this week was kind of weird since the day before my internship i was pulled out of it by the impact staff. i was told it was a unsafe environment for me to be in, even thought it sucked that i was took en out i was cool with it. i didn't see no point in arguing, instead the next day i went to school to search for an internship. that Tuesday i found a new internship call American Steel Studios its a art studio in Oakland. i got a interview that day and it it went very well so it looks like i have a new internship to go to i am so excited.

Today was my frist day on the job and i already learned a lot such as, welding metals together to create a sculpture or to make anything like fences and such. The whole day was productive they always have a task for me to do or something new to learn by one of my mentors dale he has been the one so far that has gave me the welding lessons and has been very patient with me in my learning process. so far everything has gone well for me today and i cant wait to go back next week.

Today I have started my project  which is sculpture and it is a brain with an eye like the "Minds Eye" the material i am using is sheet metal to make the the brain and metal bars to make the eye. today was very productive as i work on  my project and helped out people around the studio with tasks they had to do. towards the end of the day i help made a fence and put it in front of one of the doors at the studio because people wanted extra security.  so over all today was good.

1.What have I learned about myself (what I can do, what I like) because of this
i have learned that all metal pieces dont bend or move the way you want them to. which taught me not to control the piece but control whats around the piece.

       WLE experience?

2.What challenges did I face during my WLE and how did I overcome, address, or learn from them?
i had to redo my project because it was to flimsy and would not hold itself up so i had to take it all apart and rebuild it with a inner skeleton

3.What passions, values, or life lessons did I learn from this experience?
when something doesn't work out, dont call it quits just take a break and try again or curse at it till it works

4.    How was my creativity put to use during my experience?
i used it every time i went to my WLE because i have to bend and make pieces ad find interesting pieces to use.

5.How did my WLE placement affect me, a community, my environment, or a particular group of people?
it affected me because it really opened my eyes to what art really is to me  i like how a lot of art can and could be up for interpretations gets you thinking which is fuel for creativity

6.What do I believe now that I didn't before about this profession?
i believe now that i am able to make a sculpture but at first i did not think i could do it i thought it was to hard

7.What specific skills did I learn or practice during my WLE that are important in this profession?
i practiced patients because it is taking so long to finish my project and i am not rushing it to have a crapy project i want to take my time and have a good one.

8.If someone were to ask me why what I did at my WLE was important, what would I say?
because i got to be creative and not everybody gets to do that for their job
